Menjelang penampilan perdananya di Indonesia, musisi pop-alternatif Ricky Montgomery baru merilis cover lagu klasik milik The Strokes “Reptilia” lewat Warner Records menjelang perilisan album ‘Rick(y)’ yang merupakan versi deluxe dari album perdananya ‘Rick’. Album ‘Rick(y)’ akan dirilis pada 10 Mei 2024 mendatang.

Awal tahun ini menjadi momentum penting dalam karir Ricky. Sebab ia sukses menyelesaikan tur Amerika Utara terbesarnya bertajuk "The Rick Tour: Another Rick in the Wall”. Tur tersebut juga mengunjungi Inggris dan Eropa di mana semua tiketnya habis terjual. Ricky selanjutnya akan bertolak ke Asia termasuk ke Indonesia, Singapura, dan Australia.

“Saya senang sekali akan tampil di Java Jazz Festival!” ujar Ricky di X bulan Maret lalu saat ia diumumkan sebagai salah satu musisi internasional yang akan tampil di edisi ke-19 festival musik legendaris tanah air tersebut.
