Terbentuk di Surabaya, kota yang dikenal sebagai gudangnya musisi rock, Obeiv terwujud membawa konsepnya sendiri. Band yang lahir pada 23 Januari 2024 ini mengambil nama yang terinspirasi dari penggalan kata Objective.

Dimotori oleh Dinoz (vocal), Hab (gitar), Dennis (bass) dan Peking (drum), Obeiv meluncurkan single debut bertajuk “Lelah” yang mengusung genre post hardcore/rock/djent.

Terinspirasi dari beberapa band seperti Erra, Architects, Normandie dan nama-nama besar lainnya, Obeiv mengolah dan meramu konsep lagu perdananya ini secara mewah, distorsi yang kuat tapi tetap manis dan tanpa ragu mengeksplorasinya sampai terdengar easy listening tapi tidak biasa. Unik!

Dibuka dengan intro datar dan dingin, single “Lelah” berusaha menggambarkan tentang kehidupan di masa dewasa, ketika seseorang semakin mampu melihat kehidupan secara objektif. Gambaran tentang kelelahan terhadap semua masalah mulai terlihat di bagian verse, sedangkan di segmen chorus sampai reffrain, mereka memuntakan segala kemuakannya. Dengan vokal yang cukup berkarakter, Obeiv menutup lagu ini dengan lengkap, coda yang pas dan tidak berlebihan.

Produksi “Lelah” dilakukan di studio Rambpage Recording yang berlokasi di Surabaya. Proses recording, mixing dan mastering dipercayakan kepada Rambo (Angkuy), selaku pemilik studio tersebut. Dari sisi kreatif, penggarapan foto dan logo digarap oleh Dinoz, sedangkan layout oleh Rambpage Recording.
