Belum lama ini Foo Fighters berkolaborasi dengan H.E.R untuk membawakan lagu berjudul “The Glass” dalam sebuah acara Saturday Night Live. Menindaklanjuti kolaborasi itu, Foo Fighters mengumumkan bahwa baik mereka dan H.E.R merilis versi masing-masing dari lagu “The Glass”.

Double A-Side Single dari album terbaru Foo Fighters, But Here We Are, akan menampilkan versi studio asli dan interpretasi ulang solo lagu tersebut yang baru direkam oleh H.E.R. Dalam keterangan resmi Foo Fighters dikatakan, “H.E.R. adalah sebuah wahyu, penampilan vokal dan gitar yang menakjubkan dan unik yang menghadirkan dimensi sonik dan emosional baru dari aslinya”.

Single 'The Glass' muncul di album studio ke-11 band yang telah dibentuk sejak 1994 tersebut, yang juga baru saja dinominasikan untuk tiga penghargaan Grammy (best rock album, best rock song, dan best rock performance for “Rescued”).
