Sepuluh tahun berlalu sejak dirilisnya The Black Parade, album penaik pamor band pop punk My Chemical Romance. Satu dekade nampaknya dianggap sebagai waktu yang penting pula bagi para rocker asal Jersey ini. Menandai hari jadi ke-sepuluh album The Black Parade, mereka mempos video lewat akun Facebook mereka. Video diawali dengan intro piano “Welcome to the Black Parade” dan diakhiri pesan tersembunyi lewat tanggal “9/23/16”.

Selain diposnya video barusan, mereka juga menyertakan visual khas Black Parade pada berbagai akun media sosial, mulai dari Facebook, Twiter, sampai situs resmi My Chemical Romance. Publikasi ini jelas menimbulkan teka-teki, apakah mereka bakal mengadakan tur reuni atau semacamnya?

Sayangnya tidak. Semua publikasi dan teaser yang mereka rilis ternyata diperuntukan untuk reissue spesial The Black Parade. Kabar baiknya, seperti yang dirilis EW.com, mereka bakal menyertakan demo yang belum pernah dirilis dalam reissue ini.

My Chemical Romance pun meluruskan kesalahpahaman yang beredar melalui akun Twitter mereka: “We’ve been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned – only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade. Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts”.
