Meski telah uzur, siapa sangka seorang vokalis unit rock The Stooges masih tampil memesona di usia 70 tahun. Kini, pria beridentitas asli James Newell Osterberg Jr. itu baru saja mengumumkan telah berkolaborasi dengan salah satu merek fashion surfing ternama, Billabong.

Koleksi edisi Iggy Pop meliputi boardshorts, kaus, sweater, wetsuits, hingga jaket kulit berbahan anti air. Kolaborasi ‘The Iggy Pop x Billabong LAB’ juga terinspirasi dari poster-poster konser sang Godfather of Punk yang sering terpampang di dinding-dinding klub rock dekade 80 hingga 90-an. Edisi ini juga menggambarkan kehidupan dirinya secara personal.

“Aku biasanya terbangun dan tetap dalam keadaan bugil selama tiga atau empat jam. Dan aku ketika aku ingin merasa formal, aku akan mengenakan sebuah broadshorts. Hidup menjadi lebih baik dengan broadshorts,” ungkapnya dikutip Pitchfork.
