Daya tarik musik Rock terhadap alam bawah sadar kita memang sulit buat didefinisikan hubungan nya. Selalu menarik kepala dengan frekwensi sama utntuk terkoneksi dan akhirnya berkumpul membuat aliansi. Begitupun dengan band lokal terbaru asal Medan, Hello Benji and The Cobra.

Dibentuk di tahun 2008, band yang beranggotakan Benji (Vokal), Arief (Gitar), Tama (Bass) dan Taufiq (Drum) telah melalui perjalanan panjang saling menyatukan isi kepala mereka dan akhirnya tertuang dalam EP Mitos yang dirilis Mei 2016 lalu. Mini album yang menunjukkan potensi besar untuk menjadi band Rock lokal garda depan.

Beberapa bulan belakangan, band ini sudah lalu lalang tampil di beberapa event penting di Jakarta (terakhir di We The Fest 2016). Buat kamu yang belum pernah mendengar atau melihat langsung penampilan Hello Benji, kamu akan ditarik ke dalam pusaran musik psychedelic ala The Doors yang menghipnotis. Tidak hanya sampai disitu, palet emosi juga diperlebar dengan elemen lebih primal dan liar. Seringkali terjadi ikatan call and response dengan penonton di setiap penampilan mereka (terutama di lagu Terbawa Emosi). Belum lagi penampilan vokalis Benji yang seolah dirasuki titisan roh Jim Morrison. Semuanya menjadi magnet yang tidak bisa dihindari untuk membawa kita menyatu dalam frekwensi Hello Benji and The Cobra.
