Proyek alter ego Fat Mike, Cokie the Clown kembali aktif dan segera merilis album baru, You’re Welcome. Setelah sepuluh tahun, vokalis-bassis NOFX ini kembali memakai make-up, senyum tragis dan lirik-lirik depresif nan jujurnya.

Lirik Mike bersama NOFX yang selama ini sering dianggap kasar, bertambah dosisnya di tangan Cokie The Clown. Kali ini, dengan nama Cokie melepas single berjudul “Punk Rock Saved My Life”.

You’re Welcome akan dirilis pada 26 April melalui label rekaman milik Mike, Fat Wreck Chords. Menurut Cokie, album tersebut akan mengupas tema-tema ringan seperti “penyesalan terdalam, ketakutan dan pengalamannya”.

Beberapa musisi yang turut mengiringi Cokie di album perdananya adalah Travis Barker (drum) dari Blink-182, Dizzy Reed (kibor) dari Guns N’ Roses, dan Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) sebagai produser.

Dua rilisan perdana Cokie the Clown adalah EP Cokie the Clown dan My Orphan Year pada 24 November 2009 melalui Fat Wreck Chords. EP berisi lima lagu tersebut diluncurkan dalam format CD dan piringan hitam tujuh inci

Lagu-lagu di kedua EP tersebut digarap dan direkam saat NOFX menyelesaikan sesi rekaman Coaster (2009). Salah satu lagu di EP Cokie the Clown. “Co-Dependence Day” sebelumnya dirilis di kompilasi Warped Tour 2009 Tour Compilation.
