Minggu ini film animasi garapan duo sutradara Phil Lord dan Chris Miller, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse mulai tayang di layar lebar. Selain film tersebut, album soundtrack Into the Spider-Verse juga dirilis di saat bersamaan.

Soundtrack film ini diisi oleh jajaran nama-nama bintang hip-hop masa kini seperti Post Malone, Swae Lee, Jaden Smith, Juice WRLD, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples dan yang lebih senior macam Lil’ Wayne dan Nicki Minaj. Rapper yang baru-baru ini meninggal, XXXTentacion bahkan menyumbang satu lagu.

Pada Oktober lalu single pertama album ini “Sunflower”, hasil kolaborasi Post Malone dan Swae Lee dari Rae Sremmurd telah dirilis. Berikutnya, nomor “What’s Up Danger” karya Blackaway dan Black Caviar. Single terbaru dari album ini, “Scared of the Dark” adalah kombinasi dari Lil’ Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, dan XXXTentacion.

Beberapa lagu lain yang juga menjadi taring Into the Spider-Verse, antara lain adalah “Familia” karya Nicki Minaj, Aneul AA dan Bantu, “Home” dari Vince Staples, “Start a Riot” hasil kolaborasi The Duckwrth dan Shaboozey dan single Juice Wrld serta Seezyn, “Hide”.

Tak hanya soundtrack Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse yang diisi jajaran musisi terpanas, aktor suara dalam film ini pun diisi jajaran jempolan. Nama-nama tersebut antara lain adalah Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Mahershala Ali, Live Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, John Mulaney, Zoe Kravitz, dan Nicolas Cage.
