Setelah merilis album EP yang bertajuk Generation is Lost, band street punk dari Jakarta, The Sabotage, yang terbentuk dari tahun 1996 ini segera merilis video klip dari single berjudul “Secret Army” bekerja sama dengan RekamGeram dan disutradari oleh Muhammad Fadri Syarief.

Band yang terhitung cukup lama ada di komunitas punk khususnya Jakarta ini sudah merilis beberapa album sebelumnya dalam format kaset dan vinyl. Dan, dalam kesempatan kali ini The Sabotage dan RekamGeram akan membuat acara peluncuran klip “Secret Army” beserta premier penayangan klip tersebut pada tanggal 31 Maret 2024 di 7Sleepers Coffee Senopati, Blok S, sekaligus live Instagram di official IG nya THE SABOTAGE, mulai dari jam 4 sore sampe jam 7 malam.

Ide pembuatan klip ini muncul dari pihak RekamGeram yang merupakan media independen yang terbentuk dari tahun 2020, yang diinisiasi oleh Muhammad Fadri Syarief a.k.a Kiting dan 2 orang lain yaitu Kevin dan Alhamra.

Dengan bermodal sedikit pengalaman dan pengetahuan dibidang komunikasi, sinematografi dan desain grafis mereka memulai pergerakan kecil sebagai media alternatif yang terfokus pada segala bentuk pergerakan scene musik Punk dan musik-musik independen pada umumnya.

Awal mendapat tawaran dari RekamGeram, The Sabotage langsung menerima tawaran tersebut. “Pertama kali dapat kabar dari teman-teman RekamGeram untuk pembuatan video klip kita langsung respons dan akhirnya di pilih lah lagu “Secret Army” sebagai video klip nya,” ujar Oni Fuckguy sang vokalis dalam keterangan tertulisnya.

Single satu ini merupakan bentuk dedikasi dan anthem The Sabotage untuk para penggemarnya, yang terkenal dengan istilah Secret Army.

“Harapannya untuk klip ini bisa lebih baik dari klip sebelumnya dan dapat menghibur para penikmat musik underground terutama punk,” ujar Gheboy sang gitaris menambahkan.
