Kolaborasi ciamik kembali terjadi antara dua elektro pop terbaik yaitu The Knocks dan Sofi Tukker. Mereka berdua kini bekerja sama dengan menghasilkan sebuah single yang berjudul “One On One”.

Lagu “One On One” menjadi kolaborasi musik ketiga diantara keduantya. Sebelumnya, mereka pernah bekerja sama untuk lagu “Best Friend” pada tahun 2017 dan “Brazilian Soul” pada tahun 2018.

Dalam keterangan resminya, The Knocks mengatakan, “Kami sangat bersemangat untuk memiliki lagu lain bersama teman lama kami, Sofi Tukker! Kita kembali ke masa lalu dengan keduanya, mengenal mereka bahkan sebelum mereka menjadi duo. Kami telah melalui banyak hal bersama dan rasanya sangat utuh. Lagu ini muncul setelah kami semua keluar pada malam hari di NYC setelah lama tidak bertemu. Kami berada di sebuah klub yang memainkan banyak tarian indie keren dan musik disko Italo, dan keesokan harinya kami masuk ke studio dan memulai lagu ini”.

Tidak hanya dalam bentuk audio, mereka juga membuat musik video yang digarap oleh Gina Gizella. “Kami memulai hari pengambilan gambar ini dengan berpikir kami sedang membuat video lirik/visualisator, tetapi kami semua menyukai tampilannya jadi kami terus merekam dan membuat video resmi lengkap,” ujar Sofi Tukker.
